Blue Star Cafe
Most Artists I know have to maintain a "real job" while they pursue their passion. For me that means being a food server/ bartender at The Blue Star Cafe and pub in Wallingford. It's a great place for breakfast and Bloody Marys on the weekend and I only work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is why I can spend MOST of my time being creative.
The other really cool perk of this job is that the owner, Leon Tory, is a supporter of the Arts. In addition to his amazing collections of old photographs of Seattle and surrounding areas; he gives his many artistic employees an opportunity to exhibit their work and the work of other local Artists. We have held Art pARTies and been very successful in this venue. So, you know, we will be scheduling an upcoming event for 2010 in this spot. Stay tuned.....
